Mike draws on his experience as a synagogue cantor to bring the warmth and traditions of Judaism to Jewish wedding ceremonies while honoring the personal desires and wishes of the marriage couple.
These ceremonies are a beautiful combination of song, prayer, poetry and commitment, including all elements of a traditional Jewish wedding.

Interfaith & Same Sex Weddings
Mike provides a carefully crafted ceremony that incorporates important elements of all traditions and the requirements of the state. He weaves beautiful song, poetry, prayer and blessing to create a warm, welcoming and engaging experience for all.
Mike is fully accepting and supportive of all expressions of love and commitment, working with all couples to create the perfect wedding ceremony centered around the personal vows of the marriage couple.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Celebrations:
Mike is a gifted teacher who offers Hebrew lessons and training for Bar and Bat Mitzvah to young students and adults.
Mike is able to create and lead private ceremonies, calling his students to the Torah to celebrate their learning and accomplishments in a way that is meaningful to them. Mike is a master at melding traditional observance with a contemporary spirit and flair.
Shabbat & Holiday Services
As Cantor at Temple Ami Shalom in West Covina, Mike leads all services and events throughout the year.

Folk Singer
Mike is a founding member of The Folk Collection (www.thefolkcollection.com) and performs regularly in Southern California. He also joins forces with Cindy Paley and Ed Labowitz in offering a very popular Pete Seeger Sing-A-Long concert.
Mike and his groups are available for parties, events, and other special occasions.
Celebrations of Life/Funerals & Graveside Services
Mike is a particularly caring and sensitive service officiant. He is able to connect to family members in a way that is kind and supportive, and is able to convey memories and meaning with quiet calm and serenity. For Jewish funerals, he is able to sing and chant all of the relevant prayers along with leading the full service.
